Nikhil Misra is a Visual Development artist from Seattle, living in San Francisco. Nikhil has worked as an illustrator and graphic designer for a range of clients and independent projects. Drawing, painting, and designing are the common threads in his most fulfilling professional experiences, and he’s excited to currently be refining those skills as a graduate student at Academy of Art University.
Innovative storytelling inspires Nikhil most. Environments, props, set dressing, characters and graphic design are the disciplines that motivate him because they bring a narrative to life. He’s deeply invested in worldbuilding and energized by the process of researching, collecting reference, sketching studies, composing cinematic concepts, collaborating and iterating on designs to best serve a story.
Ultimately, Nikhil hopes to work as part of a team to put something meaningful into the world, helping craft visual stories that inspire others the way they inspire him.
